Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist with Lymphedema Certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience for a 13-week travel assignment at an academic medical center in Washington, D.C.
Details
- 13-week contract at an academic medical center
- Full-time schedule of 40 hours per week on 8-hour shifts
- Candidates must reside at least 25 miles from the facility to qualify for this position
Requirements
- Active OT license required (no pending licenses); license required if applicable
- Lymphedema Certification required — candidates without this certification will not be considered
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital setting
- Degree from an AOTA-accredited program required
- Current BLS certification (AHA only) required
- US Social Security Number required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required
Additional Information
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services including patient evaluation, program planning, and treatment administration as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Develop individualized, age-appropriate plans of care based on physician referral and OT evaluation findings
- Accurately document all patient treatment in accordance with clinical standards
- Must be adaptable and responsive to new and changing work assignments
- Must be available to work one holiday if needed
- CPI certification is mandated for this position
