Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position requiring a minimum of 1 year of experience and a valid GA or compact RN license.
Details
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- Local candidates are accepted
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- All applicable certifications must be current and copies provided for consideration
- Minimum 1 year of PCU or relevant nursing experience required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Travelers must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least 1 full year before returning as a traveler
- RTO maximum is 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment
- Holiday coverage policy: if 1 or 2 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO; if 3 major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work 2, with 1 holiday RTO request eligible for review
- Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday (counts as 1), Christmas Eve/Christmas Day (counts as 1), and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day (counts as 1)
- No schedule change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted; the posted night shift is firm
- Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
- Full compliance with onboarding requirements must be completed on time; delays may result in a 2-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule
