Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with adult critical care ventilator and trauma experience for a night shift position at a Level I Trauma Center academic medical center.
Details
- Level I Trauma Center at a large academic medical center with 1,500+ staffed beds
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) unit
- Adult critical care patient population; NICU and pediatric experience preferred
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required between two campuses located one block apart, with shared parking and shuttle service available
- Charting via Epic
- No on-call required
- No self-scheduling or block scheduling accommodations permitted; all schedules are assigned based on unit staffing needs
Requirements
- Current RRT certification required
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Trauma center experience required, preferably at a large facility
- Adult critical care ventilator experience required
- Extracorporeal support, NICU, and/or pediatric experience preferred
- Experience with Hamilton C6 ventilator preferred
- License required if applicable
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Work as part of a respiratory therapy team at a large academic Level I Trauma Center
- Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
- Scrub color: Navy Blue
- Flu vaccination is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccination exemptions are considered for religious or medical reasons only
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
- Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be approved; all RTO must be finalized prior to offer acceptance, as additional requests will not be approved after acceptance
