Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical ICU (MICU) position at a large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and night shift availability.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)
• MICU unit in a short-term acute care hospital with over 1,500 staffed beds
• Average patient ratio of 1:3 on days, nights, and weekends
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required to PCU, other ICUs, and SRC campus as needed
• Every other weekend (EOW) coverage required
• Charting via Epic
• Parking available at $125/month

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Prior experience in a large Trauma Center required
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel rates
• RN license must be free of prior disciplinary actions

Additional Information

• Large Level I Trauma Center and Academic Medical Center environment
• Travelers are expected to participate in natural disaster or emergency response activities as needed
• Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
• COVID vaccine: religious or medical exemptions only
• Former permanent staff must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO may be auto-approved by the facility
