Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a DC RN license, at least 2 years of U.S. hospital ED experience, and night shift availability.
Details
- Emergency Department setting treating a broad patient population including urgent care, psych, pediatric, and critical care/trauma patients
- Critical care skills utilized include medication titrations, arterial lines, mass transfusion of blood, and chest tube management
- Schedule is 3x12-hour night shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 9-week contract
Requirements
- Active DC RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program required; BSN highly desired
- Minimum 2 years of U.S. hospital ED experience required
- Travel nursing experience preferred
- Required certifications (AHA only): BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- CPI certification required for this position
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Valid U.S. Social Security Number required
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- The ED is a fast-paced environment managing patients across the acuity spectrum, from simple procedures to complex trauma and critical care
- ED nurses coordinate and deliver care to patients with complex nursing needs with a focus on safety, quality, and positive patient experience
- All certifications must be from the American Heart Association (AHA)
