Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position in Milwaukee, WI, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ED experience and active WI or compact RN license.

Details

• Night shift schedule: 19:00–07:30
• 13-week contract
• Emergency Department setting in a large hospital
• Epic EMR used
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) required
• Floating within skill set may be required, including to sites within 40 miles of the facility

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale — all must be current
• MOAB or CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
• Minimum 3 years of ED experience required, or 5+ years in a large ED for candidates without prior travel experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred for candidates with fewer than 5 years of ED experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Full Social Security Number and full date of birth required for consideration

• Provides emergency nursing care across a broad patient population in a high-volume ED environment
• May be required to float within skill set to other units or sites within a 40-mile radius
• Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a reduced pay rate depending on proximity to the facility
• COVID-19 vaccination is not required for this position
