Pros
Open to travelers, treat you like a co-workers,slow in the mornings but builds as the day progresses. Doctors willing to listen to RN’s suggestions. High acuity fast paced.
Cons
High acuity, fast-paced. Patients often feel un-heard by Providers. Multiple return to ER, some are malingers, some valid concerns that remain ongoing. Typical expectation- ER used as Primary, causes patients to congest the ER with unneeded repeat tests with same results. Higher acuity patients that can not describe symptoms accurately- also causes congestion. Lower level education in community.
