Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel MRI Technologist for a night shift contract position requiring a minimum of 1 year of recent MRI experience.

Details

• MRI department in an acute care hospital setting
• Medical patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio
• EMR: Epic
• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekend and call coverage required as needed
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent MRI experience
• License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration with no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of assignment unless renewal documentation is provided
• A valid U.S. Social Security Number is required; Canadian SINs are not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Perform MRI examinations using established protocols for technical factors, patient positioning, and computer manipulation across a broad patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
• Prepare and administer contrast agents per MRI protocols and instruct patients on procedure requirements such as breathing and motion instructions
• Ensure accuracy of requisitions, PACS, and associated computer systems, and complete Continuous Quality Improvement functions as assigned
• Black scrubs required
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate; local candidates within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts before a 1-year separation or reassignment outside the radius is required
