Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ED RN for a 13-week travel contract in Wytheville, VA, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ER experience and MedHost proficiency.

Details

• Emergency Department (ED) setting in a community hospital
• 14-bed ED with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
• Serves all patient populations including adult, geriatric, and pediatric
• Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM (evenings/nights)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Equipment includes Baxter infusion pumps and Spacelabs cardiac monitors
• EMR: MedHost (experience strongly preferred)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active VA RN license or a Compact RN license valid in Virginia
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• MedHost EMR experience strongly preferred
• Trauma experience preferred
• Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Additional Information

• Must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates must not be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Permanent address must be located more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates
• Scrubs: any solid color accepted
