Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Respiratory Therapist with prior travel experience for a 13-week night shift contract at an inpatient hospital in Massachusetts.
Details
- Inpatient hospital respiratory care department serving patients of all ages
- Provides both inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services
- 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Rotating holiday coverage required
- No on-call required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy program accredited by CAAHEP required
- RRT or CRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
- Active Massachusetts Respiratory Therapist license required (if applicable)
- Current BLS (healthcare provider level) required
- Current NRP certification required
- Prior travel assignment experience required
- Two professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with departmental and hospital policies
- Evaluates, treats, and reassesses patients of all ages per physician order
- Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team
- Provides patient and family education
- Assists in orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel
- Participates in CQI initiatives and departmental education activities
- Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be considered at a reduced rate
