Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position in Ohio, requiring cardiac ICU experience and proficiency with advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.

Details

• Position is located in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) within a hospital setting
• Patients are critically ill cardiac cases with estimated ratios of 1:1–2
• Required skills include IV insertion, telemetry, mechanical ventilation, Swan-Ganz catheters, conscious sedation, intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP), and PA lines
• Epic EMR experience is required
• Schedule is nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Up to 6 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period; day shift weekends are Saturday/Sunday, night shift weekends are Friday/Saturday
• Rotating holiday coverage required
• Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity level is required

Requirements

• Active Ohio RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac ICU experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: at least 1 must be from a Manager, Director, or formal leadership role (e.g., Supervisor); a Charge RN is acceptable as the second reference — co-worker references are not accepted

Additional Information

• Local candidates are accepted
• Former employees of this facility are eligible after being away for at least 6 months
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application and is limited to 7 days or fewer for the contract period
• Ohio state fingerprinting is required and must be initiated promptly after accepting an offer — candidates outside Ohio will need to travel to an in-state fingerprinting location or complete a mailed fingerprinting packet urgently upon receipt
