Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with ICU experience for a night shift position requiring every other weekend availability and flexibility to float across multiple hospital locations.

• Hospital-based respiratory therapy position within a large health system
• Night shift schedule: 4x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend work is required
• Floating required between multiple affiliated hospital campuses
• Cerner charting experience required
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Current RRT credential from the NBRC
• Indiana or Compact respiratory therapy license required if applicable
• Active ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA or RQI accepted)
• Minimum 18 months of recent ICU experience (within the last 2 years)
• Education must be accredited through CoARC and regionally accredited through CHEA
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• 2 supervisor references required for consideration

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Indiana residents are considered local candidates; local candidates may be accepted at a different pay package for Allied positions
• Candidates must be comfortable with and aware of the every other weekend requirement prior to submission
• Candidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Former permanent or PRN employees of this health system must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to work as a traveler
• Travelers who have accrued 12 months of travel employment within this health system are required to take a designated break before resetting eligibility: out-of-state residents require a 90-day break, and in-state residents require a 180-day break
• Up to 5 days of RTO may be approved during the contract
