Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic surgical skills for a travel assignment at an acute care teaching hospital in Minnesota, requiring at least 1 year of OR experience and an active MN RN license.

Details

• Operating Room in an acute care, Level 3 trauma, Magnet teaching hospital with 317 staffed beds
• Primary focus on orthopedic surgical cases with general surgery as a secondary specialty
• Schedule is 5x8-hour shifts with variable start times: 6:45 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
• Day shift hours: 6:45 AM–3:15 PM; Evening shift hours: 2:45 PM–11:15 PM
• Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis
• On-call required on an as-needed basis
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required
• Block scheduling may be accommodated upon request
• Charting is performed using Epic (Excellian)

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required (pending license accepted)
• Current BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of OR experience required, with strong orthopedic surgical skills
• Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
• 1 supervisor reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Pre-assignment modules are required to be completed prior to start date
• Candidates who have previously worked at this facility as permanent staff or per diem must have been separated for at least 3 months before being eligible
• RTO requests are ideally limited to no more than 5 days for the contract duration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
