Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Case Manager for a day shift position at an acute care hospital in Irvine, CA, requiring a valid CA RN license and Cerner experience.
Details
- Case Management unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts)
- Some scheduling flexibility may be requested
- No blocked scheduling or self-scheduling allowed
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active CA RN license, valid and in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum of 2 years of RN Case Management experience required
- At least 1 year of acute care experience required
- Specialty experience must be within the 2 years preceding consideration
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam (up to 3 attempts)
- At least one supervisory, director, or manager reference from within the past year, from the relevant unit
- A second reference within the past 2 years (may be from a charge nurse, co-worker, or educator)
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers — no radius restriction applies
- No RTO (requested time off) permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment
- All time-off requests must be submitted at the start of the assignment and cannot be changed after submission
- Candidates who were previously employed by this health system must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler, and may require additional approval
- First-time travelers should check with their recruiter regarding eligibility for this position
