Description
American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of EP lab experience and at least 1 prior travel assignment for a 13-week contract at a top-50 heart and vascular center.
Details
- Short-term acute care teaching hospital ranked among the top 50 heart and vascular centers in the country
- Electrophysiology (EP) Lab unit
- Average daily caseload of 18 cases
- Procedures include cardiac electrophysiology studies, head-up-tilt tests, cardioversions, internal loop recorder implants, atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations, SVT ablations, VT ablations, device implants (Watchman, Aveir, pacemaker, defibrillator), and device explants/lead extractions
- Charting systems: Cerner and GE Cardiolab; Pyxis used for medication dispensing
- Required equipment: Philips X-ray machine, Siemens X-ray machine, GE Micropacer
- Preferred equipment: 3D mapping systems (Biosense, Abbott/ESI), GE/Abbott EP4, ViewMate ultrasound, Siemens ultrasound, GE ultrasound, laser lead machine
- 36-hour work week with day and evening shift coverage: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM and 11:00 AM–9:00 PM, with 2 late-case coverage days per week
- No on-call or weekend requirements
- No floating requirement
- Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility should inquire about local rate eligibility
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of EP Lab clinical experience required
- At least 1 prior travel assignment required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCES or RCIS
- Preferred certifications: ARRT and Fluoroscopy Permit
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
- Experience with EP lab hemodynamic monitoring and ablations required
- EKG experience required, including inpatient and outpatient settings, obtaining vitals, and sinus node rhythm interpretation
- Experience with Philips and/or Siemens X-ray machines and GE Micropacer required
- Preferred skills include groin closure devices, peripheral procedures, and laser lead extraction
- Preferred work setting experience: trauma or children's hospital
- Flu vaccine required
- License required if applicable
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position — at least 1 prior travel assignment is required
