Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience and pediatric critical care background for a PICU day shift travel assignment at an academic medical center in North Carolina.
Details
- PICU setting at a large academic medical center in North Carolina
- Pediatric patient population including critically ill PICU and NICU patients with cardiac anomalies
- Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators is central to daily practice
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule block
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED
- Level IV NICU experience required (hard stop)
- Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required (hard stop)
- Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required (hard stop)
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- Active NC RRT license in hand at time of consideration (compact or NC state license); license required if applicable
- Required certifications in hand: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
- 1 supervisory reference within the past year required for consideration
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will be considered for this position
- Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted; candidates within this radius are eligible at a modified rate
- Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
- Orientations are held bi-weekly
