Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with Level IV NICU experience and pediatric critical care background for a PICU day shift travel assignment at an academic medical center in North Carolina.

Details

• PICU setting at a large academic medical center in North Carolina
• Pediatric patient population including critically ill PICU and NICU patients with cardiac anomalies
• Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators is central to daily practice
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:30)
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule block
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in NICU, pediatric critical care, pediatrics, and ED
• Level IV NICU experience required (hard stop)
• Experience with high-frequency jet ventilators and oscillating ventilators required (hard stop)
• Experience with pediatric cardiac anomalies required (hard stop)
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Active NC RRT license in hand at time of consideration (compact or NC state license); license required if applicable
• Required certifications in hand: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS
• 1 supervisory reference within the past year required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration

• First-time travelers will be considered for this position
• Local candidates within 75 miles of the facility are accepted; candidates within this radius are eligible at a modified rate
• Flu vaccine is required between October 31 and March 31 with no exemptions accepted
• Orientations are held bi-weekly
