Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with at least 2 years of U.S. hospital experience for a 13-week assignment at a regional medical center in Texas.

Details

• 13-week travel contract
• 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
• Shift hours are approximately 8:00 AM–5:30 PM and may vary depending on coverage needs
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Requirements

• Active Texas OT license required (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of OT experience in a U.S. hospital setting required
• Bachelor's degree from an AOTA-accredited program required; Master's degree highly desired
• Current BLS certification required (AHA only)
• CPI certification required
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required
• Active U.S. SSN required
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the past 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• License required if applicable

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services including evaluation, program planning, and treatment administration as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Perform detailed clinical assessments based on individual patient needs upon physician referral
• Develop comprehensive, age-appropriate plans of care following OT evaluation
• Accurately and appropriately document all patient treatment
• Adapt effectively to new and changing work assignments
• Date of birth required for consideration
