Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg (Advanced Care) unit at a Level 1 Trauma facility in Urbana, IL, requiring Epic experience and a valid IL RN license.
Details
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hrs/week)
- Inpatient Med/Surg Advanced Care unit setting
- Works alongside critical care teams for ICU lite patients and hospitalists for Advanced Care patients
- May be required to float to like units
- Every-other-weekend rotation: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
- Holiday shifts on a rotation basis
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active IL RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (both AHA)
- Minimum 1 year of relevant RN experience
- Epic EMR experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
Additional Information
- Performs comprehensive patient assessments, develops and implements individualized care plans, and continuously modifies care based on patient response
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation to support the interdisciplinary care team
- Utilizes hourly rounding, bedside shift report, and whiteboards to support patient and family communication
- Candidates must go through a leader interview process for selection
- RTO may not exceed 7 days for the duration of the 13-week contract
- Travelers who have been on continuous assignment for 1 year at this health system must either convert or take a 6-month break before returning to any location within the system
