Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at an acute care hospital, requiring 4+ years of OR experience and an active SC or Compact RN license in hand prior to start.

Details

• Operating Room unit within a 119-bed acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule working 5x8-hour shifts (6:45a–3:15p)
• On-call required per call rotation with staff; weekday call hours are 3:00pm–7:00am
• Approximately every 4th weekend required, with weekday coverage depending on staffing
• Floating within scope to similar units or sister facilities may be required
• Charting performed in Epic
• Surgical scrubs are provided by the facility

Requirements

• Active SC or Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum of 4 years of OR RN experience required
• Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates are accepted on a case-by-case basis
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the standard travel pay rate
• All requested time off must be disclosed at the time of consideration, as approval is based on facility needs
• Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to the assignment but are not guaranteed
• During hurricane season (June–November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
