Description
American Traveler is hiring a Vascular Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet-designated teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and active ARRT, ARDMS, or CCI vascular certification.
Details
- Level I Trauma Center, Magnet-designated academic teaching hospital with 865 staffed beds
- Vascular ultrasound unit performing 8–10 studies per tech per day
- Varying 5x8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- Weekday on-call required 1–2 times per week, 5:30 PM–9:00 PM
- Weekend on-call required 1 weekend per month, Saturday–Sunday, 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
- Floating may be required to nearby downtown and West Ashley sister facilities
- Epic EMR — experience preferred
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of vascular ultrasound experience required
- Active BLS certification (AHA only) required
- One of the following certifications required: ARRT (S) or (VS), ARDMS RVT, or CCI RVS
- State license required if applicable
- SSN and Driver's License required for consideration
- 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; local candidates within 60 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are accepted for this position
- Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at the time of consideration
- Online orientation modules are completed prior to the assignment start date
- Teal top and black bottom scrubs required
- Parking passes are required on nights and weekends only
- This facility participates in emergency storm response — all staff and contractors are assigned to emergency response teams; travelers should be aware that hurricane season runs June through November, with peak activity in August and September
