Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position on a Spine unit, working night shifts with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience required.

Details

• Located on the 8 Tower floor of a hospital's main building, working on a Spine unit (7 North-Spine)
• Float Pool assignment serving a unit with 18–20 beds
• Patient ratio of 6:1 with LPN support
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Equipment used includes Hoyer lifts, air mattresses, wound vacs, and PCA pumps
• EMR system: Meditech
• Team structure includes a charge nurse, 2–3 RNs, 1 LPN, and 1–3 PCTs per shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active CO RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience, with at least 1 year in Med/Surg
• ACLS preferred
• Burn care experience preferred
• Wound care and ostomy care experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Primary responsibilities include wound and dressing care for post-operative burn and flap patients
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No exceptions to the 50-mile radius rule
