Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.

• Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
• Emergency Department with a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• 13-week contract
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (1900–0730)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating may be required as needed
• Charting via Epic (experience required)
• Free parking available on-site

Requirements

• Active CT or Compact RN license required
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Experience in a combined adult/pediatric general emergency department required
• Experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management required
• IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including starting/maintaining IVs and central line care and management
• Experience with IV vasopressors required
• Respiratory experience required: CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient management
• Proficiency in isolation precautions and triage required
• No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
• Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; locals are not accepted for this position
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
