Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced ER RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of emergency department experience and certifications including ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC.

- Short-term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds, part of the Yale New Haven Health System
- Emergency Department with a combined adult and pediatric patient population
- 13-week contract
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (1900–0730)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating may be required as needed
- Charting via Epic (experience required)
- Free parking available on-site
Requirements
- Active CT or Compact RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience required
- Experience in a combined adult/pediatric general emergency department required
- Experience with dysrhythmia recognition and management required
- IV therapy and phlebotomy skills required, including starting/maintaining IVs and central line care and management
- Experience with IV vasopressors required
- Respiratory experience required: CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patient management
- Proficiency in isolation precautions and triage required
- No prior disciplinary actions or priors on nursing license
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates; locals are not accepted for this position
- 1 professional reference required for consideration

- Former permanent staff of this health system must have been separated for at least 2 years before being considered as a traveler
- RTO requests of up to 7 days may be auto-approved; requests beyond 7 days require facility approval
- Flu vaccine is required; declinations are not accepted
- COVID vaccine required; religious and medical exemptions are accepted
