Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/PEDS/Adult ICU experience for a pediatric-focused night shift position at a 440-bed hospital.
Details
- Position is based in a pediatric respiratory therapy unit serving PICU, Pediatrics, and Adult ICU, with additional adult floor therapy responsibilities
- 440-bed hospital setting
- Typical caseload averages approximately 15 patients per day, adjusted based on acuity (lower patient loads in ICU settings)
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Occasional participation in patient transport may be required
- No on-call requirement
Requirements
- Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP (AHA), and RRT (NBRC)
- Michigan RT license required if applicable
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- PICU, Pediatrics, and Adult ICU experience required
- NICU experience preferred
- Must be available for full orientation week
- First-time travelers will be considered
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric and adult critical care settings, as well as adult medical floors
- Workload is managed on an RVU-based system
- A leader interview is part of the selection process
