Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with PICU/PEDS/Adult ICU experience for a pediatric-focused night shift position at a 440-bed hospital.

Details

• Position is based in a pediatric respiratory therapy unit serving PICU, Pediatrics, and Adult ICU, with additional adult floor therapy responsibilities
• 440-bed hospital setting
• Typical caseload averages approximately 15 patients per day, adjusted based on acuity (lower patient loads in ICU settings)
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Occasional participation in patient transport may be required
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Current certifications required: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), NRP (AHA), and RRT (NBRC)
• Michigan RT license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• PICU, Pediatrics, and Adult ICU experience required
• NICU experience preferred
• Must be available for full orientation week
• First-time travelers will be considered

Additional Information

• Provide respiratory therapy services across pediatric and adult critical care settings, as well as adult medical floors
• Workload is managed on an RVU-based system
• A leader interview is part of the selection process
