Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of NICU experience and Epic proficiency, with day shifts and every other weekend coverage.
Details
- NICU setting within a hospital environment
- Average daily census of 30 patients with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Floating may be required to Mother Baby and Pediatrics units
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS and NRP (both must be AHA-issued)
- Minimum 2 years of NICU experience required for previous travelers; minimum 3 years required for first-time travelers
- Must reside 65+ miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply with at least 3 years of NICU experience
- RTO requests must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process
- Upon accepting an assignment, the unit manager may assign you to an emergency response team, which could require you to remain on-site during or after an emergency event or serve as part of a relief team — candidates who are not comfortable with this expectation should not apply
- 8-week contract assignment
