Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PICU position at a large children's hospital in Nebraska, requiring servo vent experience and a minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
Details
- 32-bed PICU unit within a large pediatric hospital setting
- Patient population includes non-cardiac medical/surgical ICU patients, including respiratory, trauma, and neuro cases
- Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 on all shifts
- Servo ventilator, intubation, and sedation procedures are performed in this unit
- Epic EMR used (experience preferred)
- Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:00
- Every other weekend required
- Travelers are first to float, typically to NICU or CCU, but may also float to Med/Surg
Requirements
- Active NE RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current certifications required: BLS (American Heart Association) and PALS
- Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) or Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
- Experience with pediatric patients required
- Experience from a large pediatric hospital required
- Level II trauma experience required
- Servo ventilator, intubation, and sedation experience required
- Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree from an accredited school of nursing required
- Epic EMR experience preferred
