Description
American Traveler is seeking a Special Procedures Technologist with recent IR/Hybrid OR experience for a 9-week travel assignment in Charleston, SC.
Details
- Special Procedures/Interventional Radiology unit within an acute care hospital setting
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 7:30 AM–4:00 PM)
- On-call required one week every fourth week
- May float to sister facilities as needed
- Charting in Cerner (experience preferred)
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology, or 2+ years as a radiologic technologist
- Recent IR/Hybrid OR experience required
- Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Professionals program
- Active SC or compact state license required (license required if applicable)
- SCRQSA Radiographer Certification required
- ARRT (R) Certification required
- BLS through the American Heart Association required
- ARRT Vascular Interventional (VI) Certification preferred
- Completion of an ARRT-accredited Vascular Interventional Radiology program preferred
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 2 professional references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform IR and special procedures imaging under the medical supervision of certified radiologists following established protocols
- Responsible for patient care and safety during imaging procedures using age-appropriate techniques
- Assists in obtaining informed consent and communicating procedure instructions to patients and family members
- Supervises and provides clinical education to student radiologic technologists
- Practices radiation safety in accordance with ALARA principles and applicable regulatory standards (DHEC, TJC, OSHA, FDA)
- Maintains accurate records and communicates effectively with radiologists and the broader imaging team
- Travelers who have reached one calendar year on assignment must take a 30–60 day break before returning to a new assignment at this facility
