Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN who can both scrub and circulate, with 3–5 years of complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular experience, for a 13-week travel contract.

Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) setting
• RN will primarily scrub but must be able to both scrub and circulate
• Complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases including coronary artery bypass (primary and redo), aortic aneurysms, AVR and MVR (primary and redo), TAVR, ECMO, VADs — adult required, pediatric experience a plus
• Ongoing research protocols are a regular part of the work environment
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 7:30 PM (13-hour shifts), 39 hours per week
• On-call required, approximately 1–2 call shifts per week
• Weekend shifts required, approximately 1–2 weekends per 6-week schedule (roughly once per month)
• Free on-site parking available

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA-issued only)
• CNOR certification preferred
• 3–5 years of recent experience in both scrubbing and circulating in complex cardiac, thoracic, and vascular cases required
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills required
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• All requested time off must be added to the end of the contract to ensure a full 13 working weeks

Additional Information

• Candidate will scrub and circulate in complex cardiovascular surgical cases, with a primary focus on scrubbing
• Holiday coverage is required: one summer holiday (Memorial Day, 4th of July, or Labor Day) and one winter holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmas) per department need
• Overtime may be required based on departmental needs
• Active participation in professional and departmental activities is expected
