Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a 13-week night shift assignment on an Ortho/Spine unit, requiring a strong orthopedic background and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Details

• Position is located on the 5 East Ortho/Spine unit of a hospital in Chattanooga, TN
• 26-bed unit focused on orthopedic and spine surgical patients, including knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
• Patient ratio is 6:1
• Unit is supported by unit secretaries, PCTs, and a Navigator
• Equipment used includes coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
• Charting is performed in Meditech
• Night shift position: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule block
• Floating is required on a rotation basis

Requirements

• Active RN license — TN state license or a Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in orthopedics or a related med/surg specialty
• Strong orthopedic nursing background required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Candidate will provide post-surgical nursing care to orthopedic and spine patients
• Navy scrubs are required as the dress code
• This position is with an HCA Healthcare facility
