Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with a strong ortho background for a 13-week night shift assignment on a busy Ortho/Spine unit.

Details

• Ortho/Spine unit with 26 beds and a 6:1 patient ratio
• Unit staffed with secretary, PCTs, and Navigator support
• Equipment used includes coolers, walkers, SCDs, and CPMs
• Documentation via Meditech
• Patients undergoing knee and hip replacements and multi-level spine surgeries
• Night shift schedule, 7:00PM-7:00AM
• 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
• Floating required on a rotation basis
• 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active RN license (TN or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg experience required
• Strong orthopedic background required
• Current BLS certification required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for FL and MO candidates)
• No employment gaps of 90+ days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to ortho and spine surgical patients, including knee/hip replacement and multi-level spine surgery cases
• Navy scrubs required as part of dress code
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, local candidates not accepted
