Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with pediatric experience for a 13-week night shift travel contract covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at a hospital in the Fort Myers, FL area.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room serving both adult and pediatric patient populations
• Surgical specialties include ENT, General Surgery, Vascular, Endovascular, Robotics, Dental, GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, and Neurosurgery
• 12-hour night shifts: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:30 PM – 7:30 AM
• No on-call requirements
• EMR: Epic
• Floating is required — travelers are first to float, including possible float to sister campuses within approximately 15–20 minutes of the primary facility

Requirements

• Active FL RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required; CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of OR experience required
• Pediatric OR experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Degree from an accredited nursing program required, or 5+ years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
• Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Full DOB, SSN, and RN license number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Travelers are expected to function as core staff members and integrate into the unit culture
• Orientation begins on a Friday and includes a remote component, with an in-person facility visit required for badge and ID issuance
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted upfront and will not be approved after offer acceptance
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• The 50-mile radius rule is strictly enforced — candidates must not own or have property ties within the radius
• No references are required for consideration
