Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and on-call availability for a 13-week travel contract in the Fort Myers, FL area.
Details
- Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
- Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
- 12-hour day shifts: Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3 shifts per week
- On-call required
- Floating may be required to OR units at sister campuses, all located within 15–20 minutes of each other
- EMR: Epic
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license, verifiable through Nursys
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
- Strong orthopedic OR experience required
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE) required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
- Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
- Full DOB and SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Prior travel nursing experience preferred
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — this radius rule is strictly enforced and includes any property owned or co-signed within the radius
- Block scheduling requests are not accepted
- All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and will not be approved after an offer is made
- Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
- Travelers are first in line to float and should be prepared and willing to work at sister campuses
- No block scheduling requests will be accepted
