Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN with strong orthopedic experience and on-call availability for a 13-week travel contract in the Fort Myers, FL area.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Strong orthopedic surgical experience required
• 12-hour day shifts: Monday, Thursday, and Friday, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3 shifts per week
• On-call required
• Floating may be required to OR units at sister campuses, all located within 15–20 minutes of each other
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license, verifiable through Nursys
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
• Strong orthopedic OR experience required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ACEN, CNEA, or CCNE) required, or 5 years of experience in lieu of accreditation verification
• Driver's license address must match the address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Full DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — this radius rule is strictly enforced and includes any property owned or co-signed within the radius
• Block scheduling requests are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed upfront and will not be approved after an offer is made
• Orientation begins on a Friday; candidates must be present at the facility in person for badge/ID issuance
• Travelers are first in line to float and should be prepared and willing to work at sister campuses
