Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of acute care Cath Lab experience to support a high-acuity cardiac and interventional program at a STEMI and stroke receiving center.
Details
- Work in a 4-lab acute care hospital that is a STEMI and stroke receiving center
- Procedures include diagnostic and interventional cardiology, structural heart (TAVR/TMVR, Watchman, Mitraclip), EP, VTE thrombectomy, interventional neurology, and interventional radiology
- Experience with stroke and IR cases is preferred
- EP and structural heart experience is not required
- Charting via Epic (required)
- 4x10 hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
- On-call required Monday through Friday from 5:30 PM to 7:00 AM, and Saturday/Sunday/Holidays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM (24-hour coverage)
- Approximately 10–14 on-call shifts per 42-day schedule
- Floating between specialties within the lab is required
- Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care Cath Lab experience required
- BLS, ACLS, ARRT (RCIS also accepted), and Fluoroscopy Permit required
- Active state license required if applicable
- Epic EMR experience required
- Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration
- Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Scrubs are provided for Cath Lab staff
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- RTO must be submitted at the time of initial consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred
- Parking is available on-site with fees ranging from $10 to $38 per pay period depending on permit type, with an off-site option at a lower rate
- Holiday call coverage is required
