Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a NICU position in Boston, MA, requiring 2+ years of NICU experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Hospital-based NICU setting caring for both full-term and premature infants
- Patient population includes critically ill neonates and infants requiring complex medical and surgical care
- FLEX 12-hour shifts with day/night rotation, start times of 7a and 7p
- 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience required
- Nursing Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred)
- Strong assessment, clinical, and organizational skills required
- Must be able to lift, transfer, and move patients
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English
- Must be able to perform mathematical computations required for treatment protocols
- 2 professional references required: at least one must be manager-level or above, one must be from within the past 12 months, and the other within the past 3 years
Additional Information
- Provides in-house emergency nursing care to full-term and premature infants requiring complex medical and surgical care
- Responsible for delivering competent, compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients and families
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a local pay rate
- Must pass the Relias Advanced Dysrhythmia Test (A or B) as part of the consideration process — the test may only be taken twice
- References cannot be provided by another traveler
