Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Pediatric ICU position in Oklahoma City requiring at least 1 year of experience, AHA-certified BLS and PALS, and a valid OK or compact RN license.
Details
- Pediatric ICU unit in a hospital setting
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours per week)
- CVICU and NICU experience is preferred
- Level 1 trauma experience is required
Requirements
- Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)
- Current BLS and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required — no other issuing bodies accepted
- Minimum of 1 year of RN experience required
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
- Level 1 facility experience required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Full date of birth required for consideration
Additional Information
- Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, documenting responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
- Obtains and monitors physiological data, administers medications as prescribed, and manages IV infusions and blood products
- Assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
- Communicates care plans with patients and families and coordinates referrals to appropriate personnel
- Candidates who have previously worked at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a new contract (prior extensions are limited to one time, for a maximum of 26 total weeks)
- Compliance requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) are strictly enforced — non-compliant travelers risk cancellation
