Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position at a hospital in Manchester, NH, requiring active telemetry experience and a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience.

Details

• Night shift position, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Med/Surg unit with telemetry monitoring on a 47-bed floor (23 semi-private rooms, 1 private room)
• Patient population includes vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery, peripheral vascular disease, sepsis, atherosclerosis, GI bleeds, chest tubes, and arrhythmias
• Patient ratio is 1:5, with potential to stretch to 1:6
• Equipment used includes Pyxis, Alaris Pumps, Bladder Scanners, EKGs, Atrium Chest Tubes, Dinamaps, and Vein Finder
• EMR: Meditech Expanse
• Floating required to like Med/Surg units and other hospital areas (PCU/ED) for overflow, maintaining similar patient types

Requirements

• Active NH or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA or ARC accepted; certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required for Telemetry RNs
• Minimum 2 years of recent hospital experience required
• Active telemetry experience required
• US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if from Florida or Missouri)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Unit staff includes charge nurses (CNC), RNs, LNAs, unit clerks, and Telemetry Techs
• Preferred experience includes surgical bariatrics, cardiac care, vascular surgery, and wound vac/dressing changes
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — local candidates are not eligible
