Description
American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a day shift position in Hawaii, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations.
Details
- Inpatient hospital respiratory therapy setting
- Serves adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations
- Equipment includes PB 980 and PB 840 ventilators, V60 non-invasive ventilator, and Para Pac Transport Vent
- Pyxis medication management system used for medication administration
- Computerized charting utilized
- Day shift hours: 0630–1900
- Three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)
- 15-week contract
Requirements
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Experience with adult, pediatric, and neonatal patient populations required
- Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, PALS
- NRP certification preferred
- Active State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapist license required by start of assignment; candidates with a Hawaii license application already submitted will be considered
- License required if applicable
- Prior completed travel assignment required — first-time travelers will not be considered
- Proof of flu vaccination or facility-approved medical/religious exemption required prior to start
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include continuous airway management, invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, physician consulting, CPR, and all aspects of respiratory care
- All travelers must report to Employee Health 48–72 hours prior to the start of their assignment; this appointment is scheduled at the facility's Employee Health department
- Travelers are advised to arrive in Hawaii the Thursday before their start date in order to attend the Employee Health appointment on Friday morning
- Flu vaccination may be administered during the Employee Health clearance appointment
- COVID-19 vaccination required
