Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Oncology RN for a travel assignment requiring Epic proficiency and hands-on skills in port access, central line blood draws, and oncology/hematology patient care.
Details
- Oncology unit in a hospital setting
- Adult medical oncology patient population including GI, GU, Breast, Head and Neck, Neuro, Thoracic, Lymphoma, and Leukemia cases
- Also serves GYN oncology and classic hematology patients (Sickle Cell, anemia, Factor 8, ITP)
- Day shift, 5x7.5-hour shifts (8:00–16:00)
- 37.5 hours per week
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active NJ or Compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Proficiency in port access and central line blood draws required
- Experience with Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care required
- Experience with GYN oncology procedures (paps, biopsy, colposcopy, pelvic exams) and bone marrow biopsy in clinic required
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two current professional references required
Additional Information
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
- Former RWJBH employees (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment
