Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 Trauma Center operating room position requiring a minimum of 3 years of OR experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Work setting is a large hospital OR with 41 operating rooms at a Level 1 Trauma Center
- Case types include General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics
- 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts with 6:45 AM start time; occasional float to 8:45 AM or 10:45 AM starts
- Occasional float to night shifts, no more than 3 shifts per contract
- Weekend work required per unit needs
- On-call required per unit needs, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period
- Float to other OR units within the same health system as needed
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand
- Current AHA BLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years of OR nursing experience required
- Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center experience required
- Proficiency with Epic EMR required
Additional Information
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Candidates who completed a full year on assignment with this OR must wait at least one year before being rebooked
- Maximum of 10 RTO days allowed for the contract; RTO is not permitted during the following blackout periods: June 28–July 9, September 2–12, or October 25–November 4
- Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are considered local and will be subject to a local bill rate
