Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 46-bed surgical unit, requiring at least 1 year of experience and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications.
Details
- Work on a 46-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit (4N) in a hospital setting
- Primary patient population includes post-surgical cases: trauma surgery, bariatric surgery, abdominal surgery, amputation, and urological patients
- Unit also receives overflow medical and cardiac patients
- Patient ratios typically range from 1:5 to 1:6, with the possibility of reaching 1:7 during call-ins
- Charting is performed in Cerner
- Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Every other holiday required
- No on-call responsibilities
Requirements
- Active Michigan (MI) RN license required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

- 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration
- Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration
