Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an ICU position in South Florida, requiring a minimum of two years of recent ICU experience, prior travel experience, and an active FL or Compact RN license.

Details

• ICU position in an acute care hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Float requirement as needed
• Hurricane emergency staffing sign-up is required

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license currently in hand
• Current certifications required at time of consideration: BLS and ACLS (both via AHA or ARC), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Minimum 2 years of recent, full-time ICU experience required; experience must be consecutive within the past 24 months in a US hospital
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Experience in SICU, MICU, or Trauma is preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an institution approved by the Florida Board of Nursing (FBON) combined with 2 years of recent consecutive acute care experience
• Must be able to pass a Basic Arrhythmia/EKG assessment (pass/fail)

Additional Information

• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius of the facility are eligible to apply
• Proof of vaccination status is required; declinations are not accepted
• Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment prior to starting; if 100% is not scored on lethal rhythms, a retake (Dysrhythmia Exam B) must be completed within 24 hours and passed with an overall Angoff score of 83% or higher, 100% on lethal rhythms, and 83% on all other sections
