Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 1+ year of experience for a night shift position at a nationally recognized hospital in Saint Louis, MO.

Details

• Inpatient respiratory therapy unit at a large acute care hospital in Saint Louis, MO
• Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 3x12s
• Weekend hours as needed
• No floating required
• EMR: Epic

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited college program in Respiratory Care
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• Active Missouri state license required (license required if applicable)
• RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• CRT required; RRT-ACCS (Adult Critical Care Specialist) preferred
• Valid U.S. Social Security Number required; Canadian SINs not accepted
• No gaps in employment of 90+ days within the past 12 months
• Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, flexibility, and adaptability

Additional Information

• Perform direct patient care across all aspects of respiratory therapy per physician orders
• Provide ventilator support during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and maintain life support equipment in ICUs and other designated areas
• Determine effectiveness of therapy and implement clinical interventions as needed
• Prior adult ICU and ED experience preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred
• Scrub color: black
• Up to 5 days of RTO is allowed but must be made up during the assignment
• Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but subject to a reduced bill rate
• Candidates living within 50 miles are limited to 3 consecutive 13-week contracts at this facility; after 3 consecutive contracts, a minimum 1-year separation or transfer to a facility outside the 50-mile radius is required
