Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in a CT Scan department at an acute care teaching facility in Atlantis, FL, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

- CT Scan department within a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women's services
- The facility is a nationally recognized teaching hospital
- Unit has 24 beds and a team of approximately 14 staff including radiologists, radiology techs, ultrasound techs, MRI techs, and CT techs
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:2 depending on patient stability
- Procedures include CT scans, MRI, body scanning, and X-rays
- All GE equipment in use, including MRI units, scanners, cameras, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
- EMR system is Meditech; experience with Meditech is strongly preferred
- Shift is Monday through Wednesday, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
- On-call required approximately 4–6 shifts per month on off days
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of CT technologist experience, with active experience within the last 6 months
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within 30 days of start date)
- Florida State DOH license required if applicable
- Experience with GE equipment strongly preferred
- Experience with Meditech EMR strongly preferred
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Two professional references required due to Florida state requirement
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing CT scans, MRI, X-rays, and body scans, as well as creating composite images of bones, organs, and tissues for diagnostic assessment
- Ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, medical and anatomical knowledge, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to multitask and collaborate with a variety of physicians, radiologists, and patients
- Day shift is staffed by a director, radiologist, and 6–7 techs; night shift is staffed by a charge RN, on-call team, and 3–4 techs (volume dependent)
- Black scrubs required; candidates must provide their own
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted
