Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of acute care experience for a 13-week inpatient assignment at a large hospital in Dallas, TX.

Details

Inpatient physical therapy unit within a 899-bed acute care hospital in Dallas, TX
Shift options are either 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Patient ratio of approximately 12–14 patients per therapist
Float coverage across rehab and acute care areas
Weekend rotation required, with at least 2 weekend days per 4-week block schedule
Holiday coverage is required
EMR: Meditech

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of recent acute care PT experience required; allied candidates must have at least 6 months of experience within the last 6 months
Inpatient rehab, acute care, and/or SNF experience required
Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
Active PT license required, if applicable
ICU and wound care experience preferred
US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Professional reference required (quantity varies by state: 2 references for Florida and Missouri; 1 reference for all other states)
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

Primary responsibilities include patient evaluation and treatment across acute care and inpatient rehab settings
Ideal candidate is positive, collaborative, and proactive in communication
Hunter green scrubs required
Nail policy prohibits artificial nails, dip powder, or gel polish; nails must be kept short
Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible for this position
