Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring Epic proficiency, prior neurology/stroke experience, and a VA or Compact RN license in hand.

Details

• Position is located on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit (6S) in a hospital setting
• Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Schedule is 3x12 or 4x12 hours per week — candidate preference will be noted
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Floating required
• Holiday coverage required within the contract period
• Patient ratio is 1:7
• Epic EMR — proficiency required, no exceptions
• 13-week contract with possible extension

Requirements

• Active VA or Compact RN license currently in hand — no exceptions
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic EMR proficiency required
• Demonstrated experience with IV starts and telemetry interpretation required
• Prior experience working with neurology and/or stroke patients required
• Must have a clean license and background — no prior license or background hits will be considered
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Copy of driver's license and Social Security card required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide Med/Surg Telemetry nursing care including telemetry monitoring and IV management for a neurology/stroke patient population
• All requested time off (RTO) must be disclosed at time of submission
