Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a night shift travel contract in Washington State, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and a minimum of 1-2 years of CT experience.

Details

• Acute care hospital setting with CT work spanning the Emergency Department and special procedures
• Adult patient population with high-acuity and trauma cases
• Procedures include abdomen/pelvis (with and without contrast), chest (with and without contrast), head and neck, vascular CTA, spine and musculoskeletal (cervical, lumbar, thoracic), brain perfusion, and special procedures such as biopsies and aspirations
• Image post-processing includes multiplanar reconstruction (MPR)
• Equipment includes Siemens and GE scanners along with PACS
• Epic EMR experience required
• 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• On-call is voluntary and not required
• On nights, one CT Tech works alongside a CT assistant who assists with transport, patient transfers, and room turnover
• Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required for candidates with trauma or high-acuity center background; 2 years of experience preferred
• Active ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required
• Current BLS required
• Active Washington State license required (license required if applicable)
• Proficiency with CT scanning of abdomen/pelvis, chest, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal regions
• Experience with preparation and/or administration of contrast media
• Epic EMR experience required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Former permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must have been separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months before being eligible, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify
• Peripheral IV placement is a preferred but not required skill
• Minimal RTO is preferred for this position
