Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience, Meditech proficiency, and a valid NY RN license.
Details
- Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
- Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- 13-week contract
- No on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active NY State RN license required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Meditech EMR experience required
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Must have the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
- Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
- Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving and leadership skills
- Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified
- 2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the ED or relevant specialty
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
Additional Information
- May be required to assume charge nurse duties
- Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam and become defibrillation certified within six months
- Must be able to assess and implement safe patient handling and lift techniques
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills are essential to this role
- First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
