Description

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Emergency Department position requiring prior travel experience, Meditech proficiency, and a valid NY RN license.

Details

Emergency Department (ED) setting in a hospital environment
Night shift schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Three 12-hour shifts per week
13-week contract
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active NY State RN license required
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
Meditech EMR experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Must have the ability to identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
Critical care and charge nurse experience preferred
Must be able to function effectively in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving and leadership skills
Must be IV, medication, and phlebotomy certified
2 professional references from a Charge RN, Supervisor, or Manager within the past year and within the ED or relevant specialty
Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Additional Information

May be required to assume charge nurse duties
Must successfully complete a lethal dysrhythmia exam and become defibrillation certified within six months
Must be able to assess and implement safe patient handling and lift techniques
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills are essential to this role
First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
