Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and Level 1 trauma surgical experience.
Details
- >Operating Room department within a hospital setting with 23 beds and 85+ staff
- Patient ratio of 1:1
- Uses Meditech EMR
- Wednesday-Friday shift from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
- Department staffed 24/7 with call requirements of approximately 5-6 call shifts per month
- Call options include 11 PM-7 AM Monday-Thursday or 7 PM-7 AM Sunday night
- 10 and 12 hour shifts required for call coverage
- No floating required
Requirements
- Active RN license (Texas or Compact) currently in hand
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Operating Room specialty required
- Experience required in orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma
- Experience with orthopedic trauma, total joint, and revision procedures required
- Experience with robotics procedures (gyn, colorectal, thoracic, urology) required
- Level 1 trauma experience required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Perform surgical nursing care across a range of specialties including orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma
- Work alongside a team including charge nurses, coordinators, nurse managers, transport staff, CSTs, and OR assistants
- Night shift team includes charge nurse, additional RNs, CSTs, and anesthesia tech support
- Scrub attire required in ceil blue or royal blue for nurses
- Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Local candidates will not be considered
