Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 13-week travel contract in Plano, TX, requiring orthopedic, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma surgical experience.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting with 23 ORs and a staff of 85+
- Performs a wide range of surgical specialties including neuro/spine, orthopedic trauma/total joint/revisions, robotics (gyn, colorectal, thoracic, urology), plastics, and Level 1 trauma
- 1:1 patient ratio
- EMR: Meditech
- Shift: Wednesday–Friday, 11:00 AM–11:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
- Requires 5–6 on-call shifts per month; call shift options are 11:00 PM–7:00 AM Monday–Thursday or 7:00 PM–7:00 AM Sunday night
- Department is staffed 24/7
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active TX RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the start date)
- Minimum 1 year of recent OR nursing experience
- Required surgical skill sets: orthopedics, neuro/spine, robotics, plastics, and trauma
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- One professional reference required (candidates from Florida or Missouri must provide two references)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered
- Scrub color: ceil blue or royal blue for nurses
- Night shift team consists of a charge nurse, 2 RNs, 2 CSTs, an anesthesia tech, and an OR assistant
