Description
American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital PT position in New Orleans, LA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.
Details
- Acute care hospital inpatient PT unit
- Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active Louisiana PT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
- Epic EMR experience required
- A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
- Copy of driver's license required for consideration
- Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include patient evaluation and administration of treatment procedures as prescribed by the attending physician
- Expected to contribute to departmental advancement through continuous quality improvement, in-service presentations, and constructive suggestions
- Participation in student education may be required after the first year of service
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
- Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested during the contract
- Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
