Description

American Traveler is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital PT position in New Orleans, LA, requiring at least 1 year of experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

  • Acute care hospital inpatient PT unit
  • Day shift schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active Louisiana PT license required (license required if applicable)
  • Minimum 1 year of physical therapy experience required
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • A supervisor reference dated within the last 12 months is required for consideration
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration
  • Any employment gaps of more than 30 days must be listed and explained

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include patient evaluation and administration of treatment procedures as prescribed by the attending physician
  • Expected to contribute to departmental advancement through continuous quality improvement, in-service presentations, and constructive suggestions
  • Participation in student education may be required after the first year of service
  • Navy blue scrubs required
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates
  • Up to 5 days of RTO may be requested during the contract
  • Former permanent employees of any LCMC facility must have been separated for at least 1 year to be eligible
