Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level IV Trauma Center in Kenosha, WI, requiring critical care skills and a full certification suite including TNCC/TNS.

Details

  • Work in a 74-bed hospital Emergency Department with a 21-bed main unit plus a 6-bed annex
  • Level IV Trauma Center with Primary Stroke Center and Accredited Chest Pain Center designations
  • Active Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) program with RN on-call 24/7
  • Treats patients of all ages
  • RN-to-patient ratio of 1:4 on both days and nights
  • 12-hour night shifts, 1900–0730, 36 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation of one weekend per month
  • No on-call or call-back requirements
  • EMR: Epic (experience required)
  • IV pumps: Alaris | Med dispensing: Pyxis | Monitoring: GE Monitors
  • No floating required

Requirements

  • Active WI or compact RN license required
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC or TNS, and CPI or MOAB
  • Minimum 2 years of ED experience, with most recent experience within the last year
  • Critical care level skill set required
  • At least 1 professional reference from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN, dated within the last year
  • Candidate's middle name or initial, DOB, and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Charge nurse on duty with a reduced patient assignment for support
  • Hospitalist, ED physician, and Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) available in-house 24/7
  • Phlebotomy available to assist with peripheral blood draws
  • Nursing station telemetry monitoring available (no telemetry tech)
  • Orientation consists of at least 1 shift to learn unit flow
  • Scrubs must be any solid color — no graphics, logos, or designs
  • Free parking available on site
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former employees of Advocate Health or any of its subsidiaries must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible

My phone showed her number as spam and I think blocked some of the texts I wish it hadn't have done that but that was nothing on her end all on mine so make sure that you have your settings to allow the calls and texts from spam
