Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation (IRF) position in Louisville, KY, requiring at least 1–2 years of hospital experience and working weekend day shifts (Friday–Sunday).
Details
- Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital setting with 12–14 bed units on 1 South or 2B
- Patient population is adults (18+) recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injuries such as hip and knee replacements
- RN-to-patient ratio is 1:7
- Day shift hours: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (every weekend)
- On-site equipment includes EKG machine and bladder scanner
- EMR: Cerner
- No floating required
- 13-week contract
Requirements
- Active KY or Compact RN license required, with no infractions on record
- Current BLS certification required (AHA only); certification must not expire in the same month as the assignment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required and must be active at time of consideration
- Minimum ADN degree required
- 1–2 years of recent hospital RN experience required
- Rehab experience preferred
- US Social Security Number required; no Canadian SSN accepted
- Full COVID and flu vaccination required — no exceptions
Additional Information
- Provide acute inpatient rehabilitation nursing care to adults recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic procedures
- Critical thinking skills are highly valued for this role
- CPI training is required for all RNs and may be completed onsite
- Royal blue scrubs required
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position
- Gaps in work history of 3 months or more will require an explanation
